Michael
Monahan is a primary instructor at the Batastini
School of Basketball. He is the current
assistant coach of the Lincoln School
girl's
varsity basketball program. He brings over
fifteen years of coaching and playing experience
at the high school and collegiate level. One of
the most accurate shooters to play in Rhode
Island, Coach Monahan excels at teaching the
finer points of the three-point shot and the
pull-up jumper.
The past two
seasons, Coach Monahan has been an assistant
with the North Smithfield boy's basketball team.
Prior to his high school coaching debut, Monahan
was an assistant coach for the Rhode Island
College men's program. His
responsibilities included overseeing all guard /
forward drills and conducting group skill
sessions.
Monahan played
collegiate basketball at both CCRI (ranked
number 9 nationally) and Rhode Island College
where he led his team in three-point shooting.
At CCRI he played for the legendary Vin Cullen,
one of the winningest collegiate coaches in
the country.
A native of
Rhode Island, Monahan played high school
basketball at Bishop Hendricken where his team
won the 1997 State Championships.
Coach Monahan has
provided individual and group instruction for
over four years, conducting workouts for
college, high school, and youth players. |
